Asus set to launch mini-ITX H67 board

Although Intel is going to present its new SANDY BRIDGE processor in January, a lot of computer companies have already brought to public next some motherboards, using new chipsets.

And Asus is not exception.

The company posses several mini ITX boards, which are Atom based. Asus wanted to change situation and used AMD processor in its mini ITX motherboards. The next Asus’ step towards diversification is launching P8H67-I Deluxe. The core of the board is Intel H67 chipset.

Of course, Asus faced some problems in its way, and the first of them was a lack of space. That is why the company used SO-DIMMs. Of course, it added some money to the price, but not so much.

The motherboard has PCI Express mini card slot, two USB 3.0 host controllers from Asmedia. Any standard graphics card can be used with this board, since it has full x16 PCI Express slot. Certainly, there are also three audio jacks, an optical S/PDIF and Gigabit Ethernet port as well as HDMI and DVI display connectors etc.

We have already known all major characteristics of mini-ITX board, except one. What will be the price for this motherboard? We will find out this shortly.
